Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay Association NSW & ACT
2005 Conference - "The Best of the Best": Overview
The theme of the 2005 Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay conference was "The Best of the Best". The conference was designed to help individual B&B and Farmstay business owners really focus on their position within the market place and deliver excellence in accommodation to their guests.
The speakers were Linda Hailey, a leading business consultant and presenter, Graham Perry, former CEO of See Australia and now CEO of Go About Australia, Bruce Elder, senior journalist with the Sydney Morning Herald and part of the Weekends Away accommodation review team and David Reyne, senior reporter for Getaway.
The 2005 Conference took place on Monday 5th September and Tuesday 6th September 2005. Day one was based at Old Convent, Convent Road, Borenore with speakers in the morning and a practical bus tour of local accommodation after lunch. The Conference dinner followed, also at the Old Convent.
The venue for the second day was Duntryleague Guesthouse, Woodward Street, Orange. Question & Answer sessions took place and the conference closed at 5.30 PM for the Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay Association NSW & ACT's AGM.
Orange is situated a comfortable 3.5 hours drive from Sydney and Canberra. The Central Tablelands district offers a diverse range of attractions, beautiful parks, a rich history and some of the best food and wine in regional Australia, with four "chef hat" restaurants to its credit.
