The theme of this year's Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay conference was "First & Lasting Impressions".
The 2006 conference was hosted by the Lovedale Chamber of Commerce on the 5th and 6th September. The conference venue was Wyndham Estate in the Hunter Valley.

Conference attendees were able to sample the delights of the Hunter Valley while improving your business
skills - wines, accommodation, restaurants, golf & hot air ballooning, and of
course the locals who will always make you welcome.
The Dinner was at Wandin Valley Estate on Tuesday 5th September
Sponsor Jamieson Publishing (Unique Places To Stay and
Weekends For 2, 4 & 6) donated a $10,000 advertising prize for the winner of a competition for the most "Unique Accommodation". The competition was judged by Ron Beeldman and the winner was the Retreat at Froog-Moore Park of Tamworth operated by Sandy and Peter Moore.
Danthonia Designs raffled a signage package to the value of $3,000 with proceeds going towards the local Bush Fire Services. (Permit No: TPL 06/02124). This was won by Diana and Peter Fallon of Meadowlake Lodge in Milton on the South Coast of NSW.
